Lordstown - Janet "Sue" L. Woods, 68, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, May 9, 2021 after her courageous battle with cancer.

Janet was born July 9, 1952 in Bellburn, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Albert Lewis and Mabel Lawhorn.
Janet was a dedicated loving wife, mother and wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed watching her old-time westerns, hosting family gatherings, trips to the West Virginia mountains, but most of all she loved her family. She always let the Lord lead her life and by doing that she continuously inspired others during her battle with cancer. Her life was truly a testimony of His goodness and grace.
Janet will be deeply missed by her husband of 37 years, William H. Woods; daughters Katherine Woods; Ruth (Dominic) Irwin-Woods; brother, Thomas (Beth) Lawhorn; niece, Anna Tibbs; family friend, Jaimee Klingensmith and her daughters Kayla and Alaina who will deeply miss their “mamaw” and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and Albert "Moe" Lawhorn; sisters, Verna "Sissy" Boss and Peggy Tibbs; sister-in-law, Cheryl Wyatt; brother-in-law, James Woods.
Cremation was entrusted to Borowski Funeral Services and Oak Meadow Cremation Services. The family would like to thank The Hope Center of Cancer Care (Howland) and her primary care physician, Dr. Meris for their compassionate care throughout Janet’s five year battle with small cell lung cancer.
The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
