Obituary for Terrance Shilling

Terrance J. Shilling, 60, of Youngstown, Ohio passed on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in the Oasis Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Youngstown. Terrance was born on July 1, 1959 in Warren, Ohio, the son of John Calvin and Opal Yanick Shilling. He was a 1977 graduate of Howland High School, where as a junior he had participated on the Howland Varsity Wrestling Team.

Terrance was the owner/operator of Al’s Auto Salvage on Poland Avenue in Youngstown. He had honed his mechanic’s skill at his father’s garage, Cal’s Auto Sales on South Avenue in Youngstown. He was an excellent mechanic and helped a lot of people with repairs on their vehicles.

Memorable events for Terrance included winning the demolition derby at the Trumbull County Fair and wrestling “Victor the Bear” at the Eastwood Mall in the seventies. He was a gentle soul and did a lot of good for many people.

Terrance will be greatly missed by his brother, John Shilling of Howland and by his many friends and family members. Rest in peace my brother.

Preceding Terrance were his parents.
