Betty L. Bianco, 89, of Cortland, Ohio passed peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2019 at her residence. Betty was born in Lordstown, Ohio on April 25, 1930, the daughter of Phillip and Genevieve “Peggy” DeLaMater Davis.
Betty retired from the Trumbull County American Red Cross. She was known to all as a kind, understanding woman and she took her responsibilities to heart in her service to the Red Cross. She had also been employed as a secretary at the First United Presbyterian Church of Niles and also worked part-time for H & R Block Income Tax Service.
After retirement, Betty keep herself busy. She was a volunteer secretary to the Trumbull County Unit #25 Red Cross Retirees Group, delivered meals for Scope and was secretary to the Cortland Historical Society for five years.
Betty is survived by her companion, Francis Arnal of Cortland; her son, Robert Bianco of Warren and her sisters-in-law, Catherine Davis of Cortland, Evonne Davis of Colorado and Eileen Bianco of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. Bianco on September 29, 1996; her brother, Phillip R. Davis on June 10, 2005 and her brother, Richard L. Davis on March 27, 2009.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Family and friends may gather at noon for a luncheon to be held on November 2, 2019 at the Cortland (Mecca) Moose Lodge, 6400 State Route 46, Cortland, Ohio 44410.
